We believe in the promise made by Jesus and found in Matthew 18:18-20 as a principle of developing unity between people in prayer.

The importance of unity is found in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12.

We believe that prayer is an act requiring faith in Jesus.

We believe that prayer is a living and proactive act of communion enabling us to better understand our Lord’s will in our lives, work and circumstances.

We believe in 7 fundamental aspects of prayer:
1. Prayer is essential (Luke 18:1)
2. Praying together in unity of purpose (1 Corinthians 12:21)
3. Praying as an act of caring for each other (1 Thessalonians 5:25)
4. Thanksgiving through prayer (Colossians 4:2)
5. Prayer for deliverance from our circumstances (Philippians 1:19)
6. Prayer to achieve preparedness to do the Lord’s work (1 Chronicles 16:11)
7. Prayer for protection for each other (2 Corinthians 1:9-11)

Please pray for a family whose daughter recently died in her thirties. The mother is also experiencing health problems and is on dialysis. Please pray for God's healing, peace and comfort in their lives.

Please pray for Ivan who is due to start radiotherapy treatment for cancer in his tongue. Pray for him as he travels for treatment each day that he would know God's provision for him in every way throughout this time. Pray also for his family as they seek to support him through this time.

Please pray for Deema, wife of our chaplain Rev Emad, as she was just discharged from hospital after treatment for MS. Please pray for her as she still experiences difficulty with movement and pain. Pray for Rev Emad, their son Munir and Deema's parents too, as they seek to help and support her through this difficult time.

For Robbie

We pray for Robbie in the United States, who just had a serious accident involving the crushing of his pelvis and abdomen. We thank God that the emergency services were able to reach him and treat him so quickly and effectively. We pray for his healing, that the doctors would have wisdom as they decide on the treatment to pursue and that God would surround both him and his family with His love and presence.
