Sunday 17 May marked the last Sunday service with the Reach Team at the Hospital Chapel after their 6 month stay in Nazareth.
The team, led by Derek Schwartz (pictured here with the guitar), helped restart the evening services in English at the Hospital Chapel, leading worship each week as well as being involved in the prayer times and speaking.
Christine Farah thanked Derek and the members of the team, Nick Miller, Creigh Bartel, Carla Yoder, Matthew Clements and Laura Good for their contribution and commitment to the services, which had been such an encouragement to those who attended. The service ended with prayer for the team as they returned to the States for debriefing and then on to their homes and families.
Reach Team are sent out through the Mennonite Church. The program sends teams out all over the world for 3 – 9 months, after an initial period of training in the US. This team volunteered at a local youth hostel and the Nazareth Village. They also volunteered one day a week at the Hospital.
